MPEG-4/MPEG-2 AAC Audio Encoder

The MPEG-4/MPEG-2 AAC Audio Encoder implements in ANSI C the complete functionality to compress digital audio sequences into binary streams according to either of the two coding formats, specified by ISO/MPEG.

The software is completely written in C, for ease of portability to specific platforms.
Anyway, the design is such that all structures and functions provide an object oriented structure and complete data encapsulation to run multiple instances of the encoder.

The Encoder implements the MPEG-4 AAC Main Profile as specified by the ISO Standard 14496-3, and the MPEG-2 AAC Main Profile as specified by the ISO Standard 13818-7.

G.723 Audio Encoder

The G.723 Audio Encoder implements in ANSI C the complete functionality to compress digital audio sequences into binary streams according to the G.723 coding format, specified by ITU-T, at one of the two possible rates 5.3 kbps or 6.4 kbps.

The software is completely written in C, for ease of portability to specific platforms.
Anyway, the design is such that all structures and functions provide an object oriented structure and complete data encapsulation to run multiple instances of the encoder.
The software is implemented in 16 bits integer arithmetic.

The Encoder implements the G.723 standard as specified by the ITU-T Recommendation G.723.1.
